About Us

Starski Waterski Club was founded on April 1st, 1981, by a group of keen skiers that were reaching for the stars. 41 years later, we are still out skiing the waters of Perth and its surrounds.

There have been many people that have contributed to the club, with children and grandchildren of original members continuing the running of Starski Waterski Club. Starski aims to provide members with the opportunity to ski, enjoy the sport in safe surroundings, with like-minded fun people and without the hassle of owning and maintaining your boat. Our past and present club members have been the the key to our successful 40-plus years of operating. We have club members of all ages and from all walks of life. From busy families with younger children, working singles and couples to retirees.

Throughout the year, club members organise and run a regular roster on Perth's beautiful Swan River, including taking responsibility for the boat’s running and ensuring a smooth ski roster. During long weekends and over holidays, members enjoy getting out and exploring Western Australia’s lakes and other waterways such as Lake Poorrarecup.

Starski also has a rich history of camping together, which gives both members and guests more opportunities to ski and time to socialise together. Outside of water skiing, club members enjoy engaging in social gatherings. In the past, we have held social dinners, Christmas events, cocktail nights, quiz nights, and movie nights.

In November 2013, Starski purchased a Malibu Response water ski boat that can tow skiers, kneeboarders, and tubes with a wake tower and wedge for wakeboarders. We can provide a range of wetsuits, wet shorts, life jackets and ski equipment available or feel free to bring any personal ski gear or equipment to use when you ski with us!
